EARN supports employers in recruiting, hiring, retaining and advancing qualified individuals with disabilities through confidential, no-cost:

Technical Assistance

EARN offers employers individualized technical assistance on all issues related to recruiting, hiring, and promoting candidates with disabilities, including providing linkages to state and local community-based organizations serving job seekers with disabilities. All calls and inquiries are confidential; no contact information is shared with any outside entity.

Consultations Over the Phone or Online

EARN provides comprehensive consultation on a broad range of disability topics to meet employers” recruitment and hiring goals. Consultation may be through a phone conference or online using Cisco’s WebEx meeting platform.

On-Site Training

EARN provides customized training on a broad range of topics to assist employers. Topics comprise of, but not limited to disability etiquette and awareness, interviewing and accommodating candidates with disabilities (may include practice interviews and facilitated discussions with job seekers with disabilities) and best practices.

Reference Desk

EARN offers an array of online resources, including information about recruitment resources for candidates with disabilities, including students and veterans. Go to our Reference Desk.

Workforce Recruitment Program

In collaboration with the Office of Disability Employment Policy, U.S. Department of Labor, EARN administers the Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP). WRP connects private employers and government agencies to a database of more than 2,000 pre-screened, qualified college students and recent graduates with disabilities seeking summer internships or permanent employment. Participants come from more than 200 colleges nationwide and are selected for the program by professional recruiters following an extensive application and interview process.

EARN publishes a monthly Newsletter which includes disability employment statistics, best practices, special events and updates.
