“Hiring People with Disabilities”

Presented at 2004 “Perspectives on Employment of Persons with Disabilities” Conference

Recent news articles indicate that the percentage of people with disabilities in the federal workforce is decreasing despite mandates to increase the inclusion of people with disabilities in the Federal Government. Nine Honorees Receive Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao’s New Freedom Initiative Award Recognizing Achievements On Behalf Of People With Disabilities

ODEP announces the recipients of the annual New Freedom Initiative awards for 2004. Five businesses, three non-profits, and Michael John Maslowski, linebacker of the Kansas City Chiefs football team were selected as this year’s honorees.
