Recent news articles indicate that the percentage of people with disabilities in the federal workforce is decreasing despite mandates to increase the inclusion of people with disabilities in the Federal Government. This presentation from the 2004 Perspectives Conference can be used to educate upper level management and front line managers about the advantages of hiring people with disabilities and discuss EARN as your resource to help you recruit and hire people with disabilities.

Nine Honorees Receive Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao’s New Freedom Initiative Award Recognizing Achievements On Behalf Of People With Disabilities
ODEP announces the recipients of the annual New Freedom Initiative awards for 2004. Five businesses, three non-profits, and Michael John Maslowski, linebacker of the Kansas City Chiefs football team were selected as this year’s honorees.
