Make accommodations easy and cost effective.
Employers accommodate workers, with and without disabilities everyday to build a loyal, dedicated and productive workforce. A few examples of accommodations include:
- Flexible work schedules
- Software that allows an individual to more efficiently manipulate data
- An ergonomic chair to alleviate back pain
- Wrist supports to reduce the effects of cumulative trauma disorders
- Telecommuting to reduce stress or other issues associated with getting to work
The cost of providing accommodations is offset by savings from increased productivity and retention of employees. In some cases, tax incentives may also be available when accommodating employees or customers with disabilities.
